LWV-CVA’s Gun Violence Prevention Committee has engaged in this activity over many years. The purpose is to remind parents that during the summer, when they may be sending their children on playdates, ask the host family, “Is there a gun in the home? If so, is it stored safely?” As in previous years our gun safes will be on display, and handouts about gun safety, bracelets and tattoos will be given out. Meet will be at the fountain on the downtown mall. All are invited to participate and you can come for all or part of the time. Please contact Beth Alley or Maggie Hoover if you have any questions.
