International Relations/Federal Government Committee

2017 Co-Chairs:  Natalie Testa and Molly O’Brien

The LWV CVA International Relations/Federal Government Committeee covers the world including the United States, as our title implies.  Our twice monthly meetings are very well attended, thanks to our gracious hosts (we meet in members’ homes), informative reports and stimulating conversation.  Just a sampling of the topics we discussed this year includes:  the Brexit Vote, Solar Power, Feminism in Scandinavia, The Supreme Court, Redistricting and Gerrymandering, Firearms Safety, Study Abroad, the Rise of the New Right in Germany, the Mexican Border Situation, Robotics, Right to Work, Immigration, US Diplomacy, The Ukraine, Turkey, Trade Agreements, and  Cross Cultural Studies.  If you are interested in any of these topics, Gerry Kruger writes an excellent report of each meeting in the following month’s newsletter which you can access on our Website.  We welcome members to join us at future meetings.  For further information contact Natalie Testa, 589-4067.
